The healing session with Rachel on my retreat left me feeling more healthy, whole and creative than I have in years. It was a powerful way to move inwards and start my healing journey. I will definitely be returning.
Rachel embodies the teachings of this tradition and imparts her knowledge in a way that is both clear and interesting…
I found the setting absolutely perfect for the Vision Quest – the land feels loved and has a beautiful energy to support the healing work. Whilst some elements of the practice were challenging, as expected, I felt held and supported at all times and greatly appreciated the joyful celebrations and sense of community that was fostered in the group to balance that. Rachel embodies the teachings of this tradition and imparts her knowledge in a way that is both clear and interesting. I also found the advice given before the Quest very useful to help get me through it. I came away with the clarity and tools I had hoped for. This work is much needed and may it continue. With thanks, gratitude and love.
The Living Well Centre is a wonderful place to go if you feel you need help with getting over an illness, making a recovery from trauma, or settling yourself more securely in your own environment. Merely sitting by the Living Well on the warm stone and drinking the well water makes you feel better, as does walking in the woods there and listening to the wind in the trees. The lovely Healing Heart building is a warm and comforting place for treatment – I had a very beneficial massage, and I found acceptance, warm friendliness and understanding, sensible help and a context into which to put my worries. I wish I had gone there before, and I will look back on my visit with affection for the whole experience. It’s such a kind, welcoming place to go.
I arrived at the Moon Lodge with pre-prepared food, paints and card, my dream journal and a book by another woman who explores her own process through imagery (“Art is a Way of Knowing” by Pat Allen). My aim was to do whatever I felt like in the moment. The Moon Lodge is a beautiful, holding space. Through the windows of the Lodge all you see is a circle of trees, a fire pit and sky. Birdsong surrounds you and at night the stars are incredible. So I slept, painted, dreamt, read, ate and sometimes did nothing at all. Absolute bliss! I feel blessed to have had this experience.
The weekend just gone, I did the unthinkable and wrapped myself in self-love. Ignoring all the work stuff constantly hovering over me, I took some much-needed healing time out, to spend a couple of days on retreat in the newly built Moon Lodge at Planit-Earth Eco-project, near Sancreed. A simple, curvy mud and straw hut, I could have stayed there indefinitely. No electricity, gas or running water, no laptop, just a futon mattress on the floor, sheepskins and rugs and a woodburner. Outside, compost toilets, a woodfired shower and camp sinks provided all the mod cons necessary for the perfect low-impact, communing with nature experience.
These precious two days were spent wandering nearby footpaths, sleeping in the sun, reading (I read a whole book in a day, local author Catrina Davies’ inspirational The Ribbons Are For Fearlessness – thoroughly recommend it) playing my violin and ukulele, eating (lots) drinking, sitting by the fire in the evenings watching the barn owls at dusk, and shooting stars at nightfall, and thinking. Bliss. A really calming, almost spiritual space, it was exactly what I needed. Feeling grateful.

I had a two night break in the Moon Lodge in May. As a mother with three children at home, the most valuable thing for me is to have the space to “be”.
A visitor to the Moon Lodge
The healing space that Rachel had setup was both beautiful and safe, so that on arriving i immediately felt more relaxed.
As the session unfolded, her combination of tenderness and clarity supported me through a deeply transforming process.
I wanted to say thank you for an amazing massage yesterday. I can feel the difference in my muscles and I am even walking better.
Rachel is a powerful and meticulous healer. Her work goes deep, I've always left feeling lighter, seen, understood and held. Her voice alone is healing in itself and the way she creates the healing space can only be described as 'beautiful'. I highly recommend a session with her.
I had several sessions with Rachel, both shamanic healing and massage. I always feel that she gives me exactly the spiritual support that I need. Her work is very personal and clear, she is a powerful woman who always brings me back onto my own track. She is a real gem.
How would I describe my Shamanic healing session with Rachel in the Moon Lodge ? I was nervous about what it might involve and fearful of bringing up old wounds, however the whole experience was one of feeling very held and safe. The Moon lodge itself gives another layer of feeling held in love and gentleness. Rachel is gentle but also a very strong and grounded person. What came out of the healing session astounded me! I still can't get over the miracle of the experience itself and the continued healing that it holds for me. I would recommend Rachel without hesitation.
